Twenty five years ago, in an elementary school lunchroom, Chabad of Weston was established to bring the joy and beauty of Judaism to every Jew in Weston. Since then, Chabad has experienced tremendous growth and has expanded both in space and in outreach.
For some, Chabad represents the sparkle in their child’s eye after a meaningful and fun day at Hebrew school. For others, Chabad is the carefully packaged and delivered Shabbat box easing the loneliness they have felt all week. And yet for others, Chabad is the soul stirring melodies of the Shabbat prayers as they join with their friends to experience services and wonderful social experience at the weekly Kiddush.
For all, Chabad is a place they can find authentic Judaism, real warmth and complete acceptance; a place they can call home, for 25 years.
Over the last year, which was challenging for so many, Chabad has continued to bring the warmth and joy of Judaism to every Jewish home. Deliveries, packages, safe events and more made Judaism alive, through the toughest of times. As Florida bursts at the seams, and Weston sees tremendous growth, we look forward to continuing with ever-growing strength and vigor, to service the Jewish community and all of its new and existing members.
In honor of Chabad’s silver anniversary, a group of matchers have come together to match every donation towards our biggest goal yet, $180,000. Every dollar will be matched for 36 hours, starting Monday, May 3 at 9:00am until Tuesday, May 4 at 9:00pm. Our matchers are ready, we are ready and we hope you are ready too, to come together, as a community, to fuel the continued growth of Chabad of Weston and help us reach our goal so we can forge ahead, into the next quarter century.
